Upside of Covid Downtime

Most of us have a ton of time at home right now.  It may not all be "downtime" - especially if someone you love is sick, you have kids at home, or are fortunate enough to still be working.  But, chances are we have a little more time on our hands right now as we lose commutes, school events, and extra curricular activities.

Personally, I have been longing for some downtime for years. Now, I have much more down time but instead of taking advantage of it, I'm all stressed out about it and wondering how long these stay at home days will last. Ughh!

I know I have a ton of things that I have put on the back burner until I "have more time".  Everything from getting on a regular exercise routine, to doing more writing, to cleaning out closets.  And, I know its perfectly okay to give myself permission to RELAX.  One thing I noticed during the first couple of weeks staying home, was how tired I was. Its almost like once I slowed down, my body started screaming for rest.

While there is a lot to be said for taking advantage of this down time to accomplish things on your to do list, there is also a lot to be said for slowing down and making time for more downtime.  Its okay to do nothing.  Its okay to relax.  Its okay to move slowly instead of rushing through things. You'll be surprised how different you feel, how uncluttered your mind becomes, and how much you still accomplish.

Be safe, take care of yourself, and try not to stress.
